The standard Siber System® is designed and calibrated for a 24 hours distribution with high ambient temperatures.

The insulated container is fitted with a Siber System® Tank designed to receive the cooling agent. Dry Ice is the result of the release of liquid CO2 in air, and as soon as it has been produced, the Dry Ice starts to sublimate at a temperature of –78.5°C and provides a cold energy capacity of 150 K/Cal per Kilo.
In the case of the Siber System®, the release of the liquid CO2 is done inside the Siber System® Tank. The conversion efficiency of liquid to solid is 44%, better than in any other cryogenic application such as blast freezer tunnel or cold room.

The bulk tank of liquid CO2, located outside the building, is linked to the Siber Station gun using insulated pipes. This gun has a double purpose:-
- inject the exact quantity of Dry Ice required according to the journey
- exhaust the residual gases produced during the release.

The Siber System® Station can be located in a closed room.

The Siber Station is managed by computer automation, calculating the exact dose of Dry Ice to be injected, according the parameters of the consignment :
chilled (+2/+4°C) or frozen (-18°C) product temperature, ambient(s) temperature(s), including waiting time on docks and at point of arrival, transit time from the cold room to the display, and so on... This adjusted case by case injection optimizes the energy cost.

Today, more than 30 000 containers fitted with Siber System® Tanks are in use at more than 20 client locations all over the world.
